    In de performances van Roos Hoffmann staat de verhouding van het menselijk lichaam ten
    opzichte van de ruimte centraal. De performances zijn stillevens, waarin het menselijk
    lichaam niet in actie is en waarbij Roos Hoffmann optreedt als regisseur. De ruimte waarin
    het werk tentoongesteld wordt, met alle ruimtelijke aspecten en sociale verwachtingen die
    daarbij horen, is steeds uitgangspunt voor het site-specific werk. De vraag hoe je je als
    mens opstelt, zowel in de ruimte als ten opzichte van 'de ander', staat centraal.     Communicatie en interactie worden op die manier onderzocht. Deze thema's werkt Roos     Hoffmann ook uit in kunstenaarsboeken, tekeningen en tekst.

    English: Roos Hoffmann makes a combination of performances and installations. In her
    work the performers are never in action: they are living objects in a still life. Roos Hoffmann
    use the place where the work will be exhibited as a starting point for site-specific work.
    The floors, walls and ceilings are part of the work. In the work recurring themes are issues
    concerning contact and social interaction. These themes Roos Hoffmann also explores in
    tekst, drawings and books.
